Reports that tell you what's really going on
Monthly management reports that are accurate, on time and easy to read – so you can make decisions based on real numbers, not guesswork.
- Profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow every month
- Budget vs actual and key performance indicators
- Plain-English summary of what changed and why
You can't manage what you don't measure
Most business owners only see their numbers once a year – at tax time, when it's too late to change anything. Good monthly reporting shows you which jobs, products or clients make money, where cash is going and whether you're on track.
We close your books each month, reconcile every account and deliver a clear report pack with commentary you can actually understand.
- Accurate, reconciled numbers you can rely on
- Delivered by an agreed date each month
- A short call to walk you through the results
- Profit & loss vs last month and last year
- Balance sheet with aged debtors and creditors
- Cash flow summary
- Budget vs actual
- Top 5 KPIs for your business

Month-end close, done properly
A report is only as good as the books underneath it. Before we produce any report, we complete a proper month-end close: every bank and credit card reconciled, payroll and super checked, GST reviewed, accruals and prepayments posted and balance sheet accounts cleared.
The result is a set of numbers you, your bank and the ATO can trust.
- Bank & card reconciliations
- Accruals & prepayments
- GST control account review
- Payroll liability check
- Stock & WIP adjustments
- Loan & asset schedules
- All accounts reconciled
- Suspense and clearing accounts cleared
- Debtors and creditors reviewed
- Commentary written in plain English

ExploreFinancial reporting: your questions answered
How soon after month end will I get my reports?
Most clients receive their report pack within 10 business days of month end, once bank feeds and supplier bills are in. We agree a date that suits you.
Can you report on individual jobs or locations?
Yes. We use tracking categories, classes or job codes in your accounting software so you can see profit by job, site, location, service line or product.
Do I need monthly reports if I'm a small business?
Even a simple monthly profit and loss and cash summary helps you spot problems early. Many small businesses start with quarterly reporting aligned with their BAS and move to monthly as they grow.
Can you prepare reports for my bank?
Yes. As a registered tax agent we can prepare management accounts and year-end financial statements that lenders accept for finance applications and annual reviews.
